In preparation for National Poetry Day 2021 (Thursday 7th October) I created a poem on the theme of 'Choice'. I wrote a line for each day of March and tweeted a line a day to see what kind of interaction each one received. It was really good to see which lines people engaged with most. Here's the whole poem: Would You Rather lick a puddle or a wall? Eat cat food ice-cream or fish food custard? Kiss a frog or a tree? Be a rugby ball or a ball for cricket? Drink a sausage smoothie or iced cabbage tea? Sleep under a hedge or a cloud? Be back later or be back soon? Would you rather walk up a mountain for sunrise or sunset? Swim at dawn in a river or the sea? Read poetry to someone or be read to? Gargle with custard or vegetable soup? Be a frisbee or a boomerang? Hug a rock or a cloud?
